King Charles is a two form entry primary school situated in Bentley, Walsall and is part of The Bentley Federation which also consists of Bentley West Primary School and Bentley Children’s Centre.

We are a happy, focused school where children are inspired, engaged and able to learn alongside each other through a curriculum which is contextualised with real-life links. Our pupils wear their uniforms with pride and behave exceptionally well in and around school: treating others with respect and celebrating individual liberty. “Pupils behave well when learning and this is shown by their willingness to work and listen to their teachers. Pupils move around the school sensibly and are very courteous to visitors” Ofsted 2016. As a result, the environment created is safe, stimulating and enables our pupils and staff to flourish.

Everything we do at King Charles is centred around equipping our pupils with the necessary knowledge, skills and experiences to enable them to succeed in the ever changing world. For this to happen, reading must be at the heart of enabling our pupils to access the curriculum. We foster a love of reading, develop the ability to read for pleasure and the knowledge to read for learning. Our school values drive everything that we do, from curriculum to safeguarding, behaviour to extra-curricular clubs: our values are the golden thread that runs through all aspects of school life.

We are able to provide innovative learning opportunities for our children through an Immersive Technology Suite, a Design and Food Technology room, a Forest School and with highly effective use of technology. However, we get the basics right first and enable our children to make strong links based around good knowledge in all areas of the curriculum.

We enjoy welcoming parents and visitors to our school so that they can see first hand, the learning that takes place at King Charles. If you would like to know more about our school, please book an appointment to visit and see the fantastic things happening every day.
